OzHarvest

OzHarvest is an Australian Organisation, founded in 2004 by an Australian Local hero, Ronnie Kahn. Their mission is collect quality excess food from pickpoints around the country and supply them to the people that have trouble affording food. They are stationed in each of the major cities in Australia, collecting from more than 3000 pickup points nationally. Since they have started OzHarvest have distributed 38,000,000 meals, which has diverted 11,000 tonnes from landfill. The organisation now has about 35 vechiles and eight bases in the each of the major cities of Australia. They also have regional communities program for country towns. Website
