Woolworths fresh food rescue is initiative of Woolworths Supermarkets. The program collects surplus food from their supermarkets' waste stream and gives it to organizations that apply for grants. Organizations that apply for the grants include Churches, Salvation Army, Vinnies, Community centres and Neighbourhood Houses. More than 500 Woolworths stores participate in this program currently, including organisations featured on this website Second Bite and OzHarvest. Website
